Tiger Hurt?

Tiger Hurt?

I hope for Tiger’s sake that he has a legit injury. We all know how athletes have a tendency to “fake” injuries when the goin gets rough. See it all the time when a baseball player goes through a slump and then ends up on the DL. A QB throws a few INT’s and sure enough he’s out the following week. To me it seems like these athletes are trying to prove to everyone that if they were 100% physically, there would be no chance of failure. To say you’re injured is just an extreme cop out and an excuse. The ultimate example was when Paul Pierce did the worst acting job in the world trying to convince all of us that he had a serious knee injury during the 2008 NBA playoffs. He was struggling and saw an opportunity to fake an injury and get carried off the court. Minutes later he came skipping and jumping out of the locker room played the role of hero on the way to the NBA title. Needless to say, I hate Paul Pierce.

Right now Tiger does not appear to be in a good place on or off the field. If Tiger has a significant injury, Phil Mickelson will soon become the #1 ranked player in the world for the first time in his career. I (we, if you are a Tiger fan) can only hope this will really get Tiger fired up. I imagine it probably will do just that and at that point we can start looking forward to some more epic Sunday showdowns. Until then Tiger’s absence will also mean the absence of many golf fans including myself.

Needless to say, I hate Paul Pierce.

    Your best sentence ever E.

Is this the first pullout for Tiger? He certainly hasn’t started dominating like I thought he would after the Masters.

Paul Pierce tears his ACL and MCL, gets up and proceeds to win a title, and you hate him for that? What heart, what git, what determination!

Tiger’s neck has been hurting since November when Elin took a 9-Iron and chased him out of the house. I’m glad that he made a weak comeback and is now gone for a while. Hopefully he’ll be gone for the rest of the season. I love watching the guy play golf, but I hate when the networks blow the guy when he’s playing like shit. I hate watching him duck-hook balls onto the next hole when there are other golfers having solid rounds.

WAR Lefty taking over the #1 ranking after he wins the US Open.

No, Bbryan, this isnt tigers first pull out. He pulled out of many women last year to nut in their eye.

Tiger is a poor sport bitch. I hope he never gets Jack’s record!

He won the Open on a broken leg and torn acl, I don’t think he was faking it at the Players. If he was in contention though, I doubt he would have ‘pulled out’. I think it makes what he has done throughout his career that much more impressive.

I hate Tiger though, he is a quitter son of a bitch cheater. He is by far my most hated “athlete” and he is in my top 5 most hated people.

“Son-of-a-bitch cheater”, huh? Tom, are you under the impression that an overwhelming number of amateur and professional athletes between 1990 and 2006 has not used some sort of performance enhancing drug in their careers? Not trying to be a prick or anything, but I’m just curious as to where you’re coming from when you consider athletes cheaters and non-cheaters….

B, he played well at the Masters because he owns that course. He’s played very well there his entire career. I may be able to play that course with a broken leg and a pinched nerve/hurt neck/whatever is wrong with him. His last two performances the past two weeks after 3 weeks off were awful man; so bad he missed the cut for the 6th-ish time in his career. That’s playing like shit. Maybe it was the injury, maybe he just got the shanks.

“The shanks are like a virus. They just show up. Nobody can figure them out.” – Name the movie 3D…

    The Movie is Tin cup.

Secondly, I was more referring to on his wife. Or are you such a Tiger hack, that doesn’t count?

Not I man… The guy is a complete zoo. I dig the guy when he’s got a club in his hand, but I honestly never looked up to the guy is a character-less tool…. But, the guy didn’t pound anyone I know, so I could really careless… Never respected him, and never will

Hey Mel, heavy drinking and Jew bashing will only bring Tiger further away from his “Buddhist” roots… May want to pick another battle big guy.

Mick, I’ve never seen you golf, but you couldn’t break a 100 playing the Masters on a championship day.

B, I ment “He” instead of “I” in that post “He may be able to play that course with a broken leg and a pinched nerve/hurt neck/whatever is wrong with him.’ Regardless, my point was that Tiger owns that course,

All this injury talk is a load. If Tiger was a real man he’d qualify for the US Open w/ a 7 iron only and take money from hacks by beating them w/ gardening tools.
