SKI’S Saturday Horse Picks

What a great time of the year it is right now. We got the Masters, MLB baseball just starting and getting ready for the NBA playoffs, but all these come second to me right now because we got more important things happening. And that’s the Kentucky Derby a few weeks away, and with the Derby comes big races leading up to it as horses jockey to fill the last spots in the field for the Derby. We had the Santa Anita Derby last weekend where Sidney’s Candy won and punched his ticket for the Derby, and today we have the Arkansas Derby along with the Blue Grass Stakes, throw in a nice card at Santa Anita and I’m in hog heaven today. With great racing days come great racing bets and I got some good ones today. I’ll give you a play to make for the Arkansas Derby and the Blue Grass along with my usual picks for Santa, so buckle up for a day to make some money.
First the Arkansas Derby
9th Race at Oaklawn, Post time 2:47
Bet: Trifecta
Cost: $20
The 3 Nobles Promise will be my key on top
Then the 1 Super Saver, 2 Dublin, 8 Line of David and 9 Pulsion will key for 2nd
And have the 1,2,8,9 along with the 4 Northern Giant and 7 Berberis to fill out 3rd
Blue Grass Stakes
9th Race at Keenland, Post time 2:30
Bet: Exacta Box
Cost: $30 ($5 bet)
Box the 4 Make Music for Me, 8 Aikenite and 9 Interactif. All are 3 fav or higher so the pay should be nice
Santa Anita
Races 5-7, Post time 2:34
Bet: Pick 3
Cost: $30 ($5 bet)
5th Race: One of my favorite horses 1 Norvsky runs against some much better horses, but he’s been running great and is the long shot in the field at 6-1 so I love him.
6th Race: A soft pace for this mile long turf race and the lone speed looks to be the 6 Diamond Tags. She should be on the lead the whole way lets just hope she can hold it. Add in she’s the 3rd choice at 7/2 and we could be looking at some serious loot here if we get her home.
7th: A tough allowance sprint ends the bet and what better way to end a bet then to wheel the entire field. If we make it to this race it’s not will we be counting money it’s how much will we be counting and if the 6-1 Norvsky and 7/2 Diamond Tags come home we could be looking at an absolute shit ton of it.
