Topless nudity isn’t illegal in Portland…Maine

From The Portland Press Herald

PORTLAND – About two dozen women marched topless from Longfellow Square to Tommy’s Park this afternoon in an effort to erase what they see as a double standard on male and female nudity…Ty McDowell, who organized the march, said she was “enraged” by the turnout of men attracted to the demonstration. The purpose, she said, was for society to have the same reaction to a woman walking around topless as it does to men without shirts on.

So this isn’t sports related, but I couldn’t resist as I lauged (a lot) reading this piece.  Apparently this hippie lady thinks men should have had the same reaction to women walking around topless as they.  Apparently she hasn’t heard of a little something called hormones, or “being attracted to the opposite sex.”  Of course men get excited when boobs are flashed in public.  What does she think women would have done if a bunch of free coach purses were out in public?

Anyway, here’s the full article for a good laugh.  The image on that side actually enlarges – I recommend clicking on it to see some of the faces in the crowd.  And the topless guy on the left mocking them.  Priceless.
