COOS BAY, Ore. — A health advisory has been issued for Sunset Bay State Park Beach near Coos Bay after higher-than-normal bacteria levels were found.
State officials warned against direct contact with the water at the beach after samples indicated higher-than-normal levels of fecal bacteria, which can cause skin rashes, infections and other illnesses.
Visitors should avoid wading in nearby creeks or in discolored water and stay clear of water runoff flowing into the ocean until the advisory is lifted.
My god Coos Bay, are you just trying to make your town like the worst spot on the coast? Other than some depressing casino, Marshfield football in the 90s and the most liquor stores per capita , you don’t have much to offer. Taking the towns dumps into your State Parks probably isn’t going to attract many tourists. How much shit does it take it start melting swimmers skin off anyways? Even North Bend is making fun of you, Coos, step your game up.

Have you never seen The New Carrisa? Their self proclaimed, biggest tourist attraction in the past 10 years. Oh, and don’t forget about Shore Acres during the holidays. They put Chevy and Xmas vacation to shame. I’m all to familiar with the area, and yes, it might be the worst area on the coast.
