1st MOOPH

No, it’s not a word. But, it will be after writing/reading on this blog enough times.
To get myself thru the long stretch, which is basketball playoffs to regular season football, I had to devise a way to keep myself in writing interest into the long summer months.
So I give the masses, MOOPH.
Meerkat’s

Yeah, you probably noticed how the letters in red were also in bold. Gee, you’re bright. Ask the wife/gf to go get you some Oreos why don’t cha.
Any-who, this will be an on-going post … whenever I feel like it … so don’t set your lunar clock to anything.
Yes, it will be about Phillies stuff, so get over yourself … sorry if your baseball team sucks (mets fans).  Not really though (about being sorry … in case you’re an idiot).
To steal a quote from Seth Everett, these are the golden years for Phillies baseball.
So I need to take advantage of this now. Philly wasn’t always like NY in their annual salary spending.
Phillies ownership, recently, must have heard the masses (aka frustrated fans), in previous years, and decided they needed to pay big dollars to their stars.
Smart. Because their current stars are very, very special.
Chase Utley.
Ryan Howard.
Jimmy Rollins.
Cole Hamels.
Shane Victorino.
This core won’t be around for long.
But this group has the chance to do something very special.
Going to the World Series 3 straight years is unheard of in the NL … at least not since the 1942-1944 Stan Musial led St. Louis Cardinals.
Wow. That was quite awhile ago. Like WWII, long ago.
So yeah, I’m gonna enjoy this summer by writing up my team’s special moments … unlike a Yankee’s fan’s usual digestion of the norm … which is high-priced mercenaries playing for the big trophy.
Unfortunately, the MLB has not figured out a way so the KCs of the league can compete annually with the big boys. MLB is setup as a Darwin-like system, which is great for the owners, but not for the fans … at least not the ones in the smaller markets.
So when you see this post … it will simply be a spewing of Phillies info like possibly this …
after reading from ESPN the MAG …
Did you know that Jamie Moyer is currently second on the all-time list of pitchers with HRs allowed??
Philadelphia Phillie Robin Roberts holds the record at 505 … Moyer began the season at 491.
What does this mean? It simply means that Moyer has been good enough to pitch long enough to give up so many HRs. The dude is 47-yrs-old.
47!
Do you know that George Clooney turned 47 … in 2008?! Just a bit of Hollywood perspective.
The guys in front of Moyer are all in the HOF … Robin Roberts, Fergie Jenkins, Niekro, Sutton.
Hmmm.
Does that mean Jamie should at least get a mobile phone call about HOF stuff?

He probably struck Bryan out in a softball game on a super change.
