Oh boy, we’re in trouble now…

Even in my completely sober state-of-mind last yesterday I didn’t comprehend brewSki’s post about the M’s inking Garko. Something didn’t click I suppose. Now the guy just turned 29 and only has two full seasons under his belt, but if he is the answer to the run production issue, then hello .500 record (at best). Ok, so my intentions are not to completely rip into Garko as I will do my best to give the aging youngster the benefit of the doubt, but I’d like to bring back to the forefront THEEE most overhyped (and by overhyped I mean by the Seattle media, which barely counts anyway) Mariner free agent this decade. This freakin’ guy. Perhaps you know him better as this guy? My big worry here is that Garko comes in with less of a resume than Spiezio. Please, oh please, let the outcome be better…

I don’t think they expect a whole lot from him considering they’re only paying him 500k. I wish you wouldn’t have brought up Speez. Any player who’s career is one good game in the WS will never help you. He is and was a joke. Luckily, i’m not sure I remember the hype though…I heard Olerude will sign next week though. I guess we could pick up Johnny and the Damons for 10mil.

Garko is a good pick up for the M’s. He will split time with Kotchmen and will see some time at DH if Jr needs a day off. That being said, I do not believe the M’s will win until they get a big hitting first basemen. Adrian Gonzalez maybe? Or trade Lopez and get a third basemen
