T Bomb Session between me and Ski:
Ski: V Mart, wow. 9-7, Sox.
Me: Holy shit, they are using up a months worth of runs tonight…
Ski: Probably. Too bad Paps will probably blow the save.
Me: That’s a lock.
Ski: Paps is so bad. 2 run bomb to A Rod?!?
Me. Could see it coming from a mile away…
Ski: Marcus fucking Thames with a walkoff.
Me: Marcus Fizer could hit a bomb off Paps at this point.

if by the “best 5″ you mean
c.c sabathia 3.71
andy pettitte 1.79
aj burnett 3.31
phil hughes 2.25
and we will throw in rivera for fun at 1.59,
papelbon era 3.32
hmm…..just something to think about

No matter what angle you approach it from, comparing the ERAs of starters and closers is kinda curious.

+1 Rey. Paps is a mole for the Yanks anyway.

Comparing starters and reliver’s ERA’s is just like comparing apples to oranges. Yes, both roles on the staff have almost the same statistics but the meaning of the stats are completly different. I hate seeing Paps come into the game just like any true Yankee fan, but the guy is still legit guys…. You don’t close for the second best team in the the AL for a reason… (** Blow me because the Rays cannot run wire-to-wire **)
