Epic Pitchers Duel

I know its probably not the first thing on most sports fans minds, but tonights matchup of the Phillies and Giants has all the makings of an epic pitchers duel. Unfortunately its not Lincecum going tonight for the Giants but its their next best thing, Jonathan Sanchez. The matchup of Halladay vs. Lincecum would absolutely trump any playoff basketball game in my eyes as it would be the one game that decides the NL’s Cy Young Award. Roy Halladay is pretty much guaranteed to throw another complete game and I’d think he’ll give up 2 at the most. He’s going against Jonathan Sanchez who is another one of those pitchers that routinely has his way with NL lineups. He hasn’t been getting any run support so he only has 1 win but all his other numbers are crazy good (1.86 era, .098 whip). He is also a lefty so I’m not expecting much outta Ryan Howard tonight. This game isn’t on TV for most of us so like I said before, most of you all probably won’t even notice that this game is going on. However if you are a hardcore baseball I’d suggest you pay attention to this one because it should be great.

Phillies should have made this game closer because LOB was 19.
Francisco LOB 8, Werth LOB 5, ugh.

Okay, so Halladay won’t go 30-0. Oh well.

Be careful, goodplaye … or I will start blogging about Derek Jeter never getting hurt ;-]
