Another day, some more bad news for the Mariners

If Milton Bradley’s stupid actions and Cliff Lee’s suspension wasn’t enough I bring you more bad news from Mariners spring training.
After some light field work Mariners Pitcher Cliff Lee felt more pain in his strained abdomen. Not only will Lee miss his first start because of suspension, but he’s looking more likely to miss his first couple starts. What does this do to the Mariners rotation? Well it makes Ian Snell the Mariners number 2 till Lee and Bedard get healthy. And if the Mariners are stuck for a long period of time with Snell holding down the #2 spot I see a tough beginning to the 2010 season for the M’s, because let’s face it the Mariners offense isn’t going to be putting up enough runs to be able to trot out these 2nd rate pitchers. Every start that these other pitchers get can be seen as a day that the Mariners have a good chance to lose. So let’s hope that this injury isn’t much and get back to the Mariners having the best 1-2 punch in all of baseball.
