Oregon Football Gets Its First Commit For 2012 – With Photos and Videos

Oshay Dunmore, a quarterback and outside linebacker from Newport High School in Newport, Ore., committed to Oregon during the team’s junior day today, according to various reports.
He’s Oregon’s first commitment for the 2012 class, and will likely play safety at Oregon, as he reportedly left this afternoon’s practice with the defensive backs.

Dunmore is a serious running threat on offense, and a physical player with good ball skills on defense.
He ran for 2152 yards and 25 TDs on 247 carries, threw for 832 yards with four TDs and 18 INTs on offense, and had 32 tackles and two INTs on defense last season.
He ran for 403 yards and five TDs against Junction City last year and had four games with over 200 yards rushing.
He will also compete in track and field when he gets to Oregon as he’s a two time defending 4A discuss champion and finished second in the nation in the decathlon.
He’s 6-foot-2, 195 pounds and runs a 4.5 40-yard dash, with a 3.8 GPA, according to Rivals.com.
He also had scholarship offers from Washington, Duke, Oregon State and Washington State.
