Morning Hangover: No More Blue On Blue For Boise St., Still Suck

Blue Balls are fine at Boise St., but blue uniforms are not. In the best news since Larry Scott’s Rant, Mountain West Conference commissioner, Craig Thompson announced Tuesday that the ponies from Boise will no longer be allowed to wear blue uniforms for any conference home games. Bummer.

It’s about time! It’s pathetic how long they were able to get away that bs. You could barely see those clowns even watching it on the hd. Oregon may have a couple uniform combinations -some quite hideous, but however gaudy they may be you can still see the player who is wearing it. It’s perfect, wear what you’re around and it will be harder for people to recognize or see you…camouflage. When decisions are made in tenths of seconds, the slightest hesitation or mis-read is huge.

The Pony Show is 74–1 in regular season home games since 1999 and are currently on a 62 game regular season home winning streak. Hell, The U didn’t put up those kind of numbers and every home game they had,  half of the Orange Bowl was packing heat players included.

“It’s a tragedy of college football,” Chris Petersen said according to the Idaho Statesman‘s Brian Murphy. “I thought it was ridiculous. … That’s our colors. That’s who we are. That’s who our fans have wanted us to be since I’ve been at Boise State. That’s what it’s been through and through.”

Wow, a “tragedy of college football”? And they wonder why nobody respects them, or wants to go play there. Chris Peterson and his team are a tragedy of college football.

Brian Murphy: No blue on the blue? Say what?

gotta love it…. and his “I don’t see the difference between green jerseys on green grass”

  2. Fuck Boise. The NCAA should have done that a long time ago & not waited for a conference to do it.

They should make them get rid of that ugly ass field instead.

    Haters gonna hate.

Tell me what is the difference of a football stadium with 70,000 loud home fans over a stadium of 30,000 loud home fans?

    Home field advantage, right?!?!?

That is what Boise had with their god awful blue turf with blue unis.

So should stadiums with 70K loud fans have to tell the other 30k to stay home to make the game a competitive equal!?!?!

    I don’t think so.

If you can’t beat Boise on their turf, suck it up and don’t make excuses. You lost.

Do losing visiting teams leaving Autzen say “oh, gee, if our home fans were that loud we’d win more games, that is so unfair?”

The MWC took home field advantage away from Boise, plain and simple.

How many Duck fans would cry foul if 30k were disallowed from yelling during the game??

Haha, ok, Meerkat. Because yelling fans and like uniform/field colors are the same in terms of competitive advantage.

Noise doesn’t have the same effect as not being able to see the opponent in a split second.

Every stadium that is full will be loud, whether its 30k or 70k, more doesn’t always mean louder. But trying to compare noise and uniforms that match the turf is pathetic at best.

In all seriousness this ruling is a bunch of shit. Boise St won at home because they were better than everyone else in that shitty ass conference they were in. They were better than Oregon at the start of the ’09 season. And they are always better than Oregon State.

They should make them get rid of the field because it’s a fucking eyesore and a disgrace to football, not because of some perceived bullshit advantage.
