Seriously, this is worth all 15 minutes. Okay, maybe you can skip the last three minutes of straight Skrillex, but it’s still gold.

They golfed it all, and all that jazz.

What a bunch of studs. I mean seriously, golfers are usually so dainty and meek. But not here, not at the University of Oregon. Here in Eugene, our golfers go harder that Peter North. A little rain, fuck it, they just intimidate Mother Nature into bringing the sun. If you go on campus, you can push around the football team (no SEC Speed) but mess with the golfers at your own peril.

Damn, just gangsters all over RiverRidge and Emerald Valley, beware punks.

PS-The chick in the tank top at the 6:59 mark, MEEEE-OWWW.

By now, I’m sure you’ve already heard. Sarah Phillips is either a ghost, a gambling degenerate, an -ex ESPN writer, or perhaps, a real person that just likes to scam bloggers and NBA meme’ers(?) out of money. Maybe an evil combination of all. Or some. Maybe, none. You know, what evs, the usual… I mean, it’s the internet, who really knows what-from-what.

Is Sarah Phillips a real person?!?!? ZOMG! Is this like a scene out of Ghost Dad??? Is Sarah Phillips literally walking through your door and watching you try and dominate ‘The Crag‘ vicariously through your TV while kicking it with Mark Summers?

Freaky, freaky. Perhaps, I am Sarah Phillips. Or even spookier, maybe you are Sarah Phillips!

I’m not sure any of this really makes sense. But, a source from deep within the Sheldon High School athletic program in Eugene, Oregon is telling me this is Sarah Phillips. Of course, the source close to, and deep is anonymous. You know, as to not give away their identity for fear of institutional backlash….

What say you, America?

Hell Yeah!!

I’m back baby!!

Just to stick a fork into your Duck intestines and twist, much like a greasy Italian at a pasta buffet.

Yeah, just maybe this post is a spaghetti western in which the hero gets shot in the face … so just get ready to deal with it.

———————————————————————————

Remember those radical Boise State posts I had back in 2010? Well, if Oregon was so much better than Boise, then why have the Broncos had more guys drafted into the NFL than Ducks the past two seasons?

Results (rnd) player:

2011

Boise: (2) T. Young, (3) A pettis, (7) B. Thompson

Oregon: (4) C. Matthews

2012

Boise: (1) D. Martin, (1) S. McCellin, (3) T. Crawford, (5) G. Iloka, (6) B. Winn, (7) N. Potter

Oregon: (2) L. James, (5) J. Katu, (6) M. Kasper (7) D. Paulson

Totals

Boise = 9

Oregon = 5

I know, the Boise schedule was a big deal and will always be a big deal, but if their talent level was so weak … why is the NFL calling so many more Broncos than Ducks on Draft Day?

Seriously, why was the so-called Heisman hopeful RB LaMichael James called in round 2 … AFTER Boise’s RB Doug Martin in ROUND 1 !?!?!? Hmmmm. COM’ON!!

Ask yourself this … was the PAC-10 that weak or was Boise that good? Hmmmmm.

Remember, Oregon ended up playing Auburn in the Natty … but what if Cliff Harris doesn’t bail out the Ducks against Cal and Boise doesn’t get killed by their kicker against Nevada? Does Oregon survive the Boise schedule if roles were reversed? Just sayin, broseph.

Maybe Boise beats Cam and the Tigers? Uhh, because they can actually pass the ball.

Hey, hand it to super coach Chip Kelly, this is a testament to his skill-set. Dude can coach and scheme with the best. And that is why he is an itch-and-a-scratch away from an NFL job. Because he has to see where he can stand amongst the very best. Not like that Peterson fella is a far fall from the genius tree either. Peterson is hella good himself, and APPARENTLY can out recruit the Oregon boys without the help from the Nike gods. How else do you get NFL talent to Idaho without a shoe company backin your every move?

This all sets up the biggest cash grab of all time … when Chip Kelly bolts for the NFL and <del>Nike</del> Oregon sends a tractor-trailer full of greenbacks to the house of Chris Peterson.

Sorry if I burst your green & yellow bubble, I’m just doin what David Chappelle taught me years ago … just keep it real, yo.

———————————————————————————

Derrick is out for the post season.

That F’n BLOWS.

I’m a Sixers fan, so the last thing I want is my squad advancing because the opposing star player is out. This sucks even more because the Heat have an easier route to the finals. Only thing in the Heat’s way are the last-chance-Celtics. My god it drives me nuts that Boston is the only team with players I like that can take down Miami. Repeatedly stabbing myself in the shin with a fork sounds better at times than gettin behind the Bostonians (76er fan should never pull for Celtics, but sometimes sacrifices must be made … at least that is what I’m telling myself).

———————————————————————————

Ahhhh, baseball. Gotta love old hitters flocking to the AL and old pitchers flocking to the NL … all to extend their careers.

Because offense sells more tickets than defense, eventually, and unfortunately, the DH will move to the NL. Which is the inevitable demise of integrity in the game. Ok, maybe that was a bit dramatic, but I cannot stand the idea of tossing out the idea of ‘every position bats & fields‘. Just absolute silliness. It is what makes the game so good.

Once you go down that path some radical owner will declare we need 2 DHs. Before you know it … by 2030 we will have a defensive lineup and offensive lineup. Yeah, brutal.

Little league will certainly never be the same. What about the kids!!!!

———————————————————————————

I very much enjoy projecting into the future … and sometimes I actually get it right. So my latest outlandish prediction may seem silly to Oregon fan … but I say … let it play out a bit.

By this time next year (April 2013 for the calendar impaired), Chip Kelly will be HC of the Vikings and will be selecting QB Matt Barkley with the 1st overall pick.

Try not to think much about it … just understand that I know things beyond your comprehension. Kinda like Katy Perry has a really nice rack that you’ll never get to motorboat.

———————————————————————————

I’m out, yo.

Columnists gonna ‘columnist’ and trolls gonna troll.

More than likely, your favorite columnist has a little bit of a troll-streak in them. Hey that’s fine, probably even a necessity, really. At the end of the day, a little showmanship is all part of the game.

Usually when you have an issue with a columnist, the standard reply back is “I’m a columnist, I’m paid to write my opinions. Thanks for reading.” And really, even in the most absurd of opinions, it’s just that, an opinion.

Aw, but here, with Gregg Doyel’s “Chip Kelly-Bobby Petrino-Santa Claus” article, the lines get blurred.

It would almost seem to me that in an effort to make his point from high atop his high horse (have college football writers replaced Major League Baseball writers as the most sanctimonious in the land?) , he either did no fact-checking (C-B-S!-C-B-S!), or did, and just decided to fib anyways to prove his point. If Mr. Doyel did just decide that he could slip a building block of his article by us, it was a smart move. After all, unless you write words about sports on a fancy Air Mac and complain about free food in the media area, you are unable to pick up on these things, dummy.

Just read this, let it marinate, and see if you can find that pesky little inaccuracy.

At Oregon, the story is similar. The school has reached crazy new levels of revenue thanks to the surge in football under Chip Kelly, and as a result the school built a crazy new $200 million basketball arena with the help of state-backed, 30-year bonds.

Did you catch that?

When someone says “Ernie Kent really did deserve to open the new arena, after all without his Elite Eight runs none of this would be possible” you can tell them that it was actually Chip Kelly’s money-making run as a head coach that made the arena possible.

Also, Chip Kelly is a magician. Or a time traveler. Maybe both.

The Matthew Knight Arena project broke ground on February 7, 2009.

Chip Kelly was hired as head football coach March 30, 2009.

I guess none of this should really be a surprise. Mr. Doyel is the same man who hopped on Portland radio a month or so ago and when questioned about Cal and LSU’s involvement with Will Lyles and his ‘services’, asked if they were sure if any other teams used him, and would have to “Google it.” Getting loose with facts seems to kind of be his deal. But hey, he’s just a columnist, you know?

When Chip Kelly doesn’t get fired, I’m going to thank the heavens that his remarkable three year run as head coach got the basketball arena built. Before he was even hired! What a fucking stud.

Keep on Doyel-ing, Mr. Doyel. I eagerly await your next round of hand-picked angry emails for the obligatory “look-at-the-angry-fans-attack-me-because-I-am-a-truth-teller” column.

This is revolutionary really. Go to the 1:23 mark. Seriously, rapping about the expectations of being losers? Just flipping the script, mind blown.

PS-John Olerud drop, that’s haaarrrrd.
