Honestly, who wouldn’t want a piece of that magical 2003-04 season? Luke-to-Luke was no more, but Big Ern rebounded by making that magical run to the (NIT) Final Four!

Now sure, $350 may be a little steep, but with a little charm I’m sure you could talk the seller down. Now me, I’d pay the whole $350 is Crosswhite’s bong and the signatures of the three headed monster known as Platt-Zahn-Schafer were also included. This has been a fun weekend for Ducks fans. If losing that game to USC wasn’t bad enough worse news came yesterday that probably the biggest recruit in Oregon basketball history Jabari Brown is leaving the team after only 2 games. No real reason as to why Jabari is leaving has come out other than coach Altman saying that he has been frustrated the last 2 games.

Who wouldn’t be frustrated if you have started your college career like Jabari has. Shit I think the 50 year old guy from my rec league that can barely make it up and down the court has put up better numbers than Jabari has. Here’s a quick peak at the kind of numbers that would send anyone running home.

Not quite the numbers most of us and I assume he has hoped to see after the kind of hype he has been getting coming into the season.

I went with Kinger to what could be Jabari’s last game as a Duck, and it was very noticeable that he was just not into the game. Kinger even mentioned that he thought Jabari was playing like he didn’t give a shit. Half-assed jogging up and down the court and going into the corner and just camping out like he wasn’t even a part of the offense. Even when the Ducks were making a comeback and the 1500 people that were in attendance started to get into the game he still just stood in his corner uninterested.

So when Kinger told me that Jabari was bouncing before the game yesterday I really wasn’t in complete shock like most Duck fans were.

So whatever coach Altman has to do to keep this kid in Eugene must be done. Even with his game attitude and his horrific numbers he’s going to be a legit player. So Dana, take the kid to a strip club, tell him all will be well, make some promises that you don’t even have to keep, but you cannot let this kid leave if you want to get all the Duck fans behind you while you are the coach here.

From Times staff reporter Jennifer Sullivan: Former University of Washington basketball player Venoy Overton has been arrested for investigation of second-degree promoting prostitution, according to Kent police. Overton was arrested Thursday in South Seattle. Police had probable cause to arrest Overton, who has not been charged with the felony offense, according to a source. According to a news release, police detectives began their investigation of Overton in May, when undercover officers contacted an 18-year-old woman on Pacific Highway South. Officers learned that she had been brought to the area by her boyfriend, who directed her to perform acts of prostitution, the release said. She identified her boyfriend as Overton, according to police. The woman also told officers that she had been given specific instructions of what sex acts to perform and what to charge, and had given a portion of the money she received to Overton, the release said. The woman further disclosed that she had been brought to the area to prostitute on two other occasions.

It was only a matter of time till everyone else in college sports caught up with Oregon and tried to swoop in on our style, but Towson? Give me a fucking break here Towson. Nobody outside of degenerate gamblers and people in Baltimore actually know you exist or give a shit about you. I would have bet good money that 9 of 10 people didn’t even know Towson was a school or where it was located prior to them leaching off our idea.

This is what we have to deal with now that Oregon has become the envy of college sports. When you have the best facilites and the kind of swagger that our teams have everyone else is bound to get in line and do what we do.

Now if only we can find a school that will take Supwitchugirl and the rest of the fake fan SWUG nation with them, life will be perfect.

Duck Territory- In need of a post player next season Oregon’s Dana Altman was lucky to have Chris Larson out of Black Hawk College in Moline, IL visit on the last weekend in May for an un-official.

Larson decided to pass on offers from Troy University and Florida Gulf Coast college to walk-on at Oregon.

“I felt like Oregon presented the best chance for me to play right away and everything fit me the best.”

Larson said he has a good back-to-the-basket game and can also step outside and hit a jumper if he is let open.

“I’d like to think with my shot blocking skills (3.5 blocks per-game), rebounding, and scoring I can come in and help,” said Larson.

Larson was an unknown out of Hudson high school in Hudson, IA because he played in only three AAU tournaments and decided to play junior college ball to generate interest.

“I visited the other two schools who offered and just a few hours ago decided I wanted to go to Oregon,” said Larson.

Larson instantly becomes Oregon’s tallest player on the roster next season and will be the Duck’s tallest player to don the green and yellow since Ray Schafer played for Oregon back in 2007-08.

Has there ever been a team that has had more transfers in and out in a 1 year span than Oregon has. Shit I think Sim might be the only guy next year who has been on the team for more than 2 years, but this is what you need to do to turn around a team that was way down in the shitter like Big Ern had the Ducks in. Now we got a top level recruit coming in in Jabari Brown, a good looking veteran transfer in Olu Ashaolu and now a big man who can hopefully block shots and rebound. Throw in Loyd, Jacob, Nared and EJ returning and we could be looking at a pretty good team next year or at least a team I’d be happy to watch play every game.

I will say this is the first time in years that I have actually been excited for Oregon basketball to start.

After trekking across the country last week on visits to Oregon, Texas, and San Diego State senior Louisiana Tech transfer Olu Ashaolu is transferring to Oregon to finish his college career.”I felt like looking at Oregon they were missing one final piece on getting back into the tournament and I looked at myself and felt I could be that piece,” said the 6-foot-7 forward.”I liked everything about Oregon and it felt right.”"I enjoyed meeting the staff and getting to know them and then the core group of guys coming back was a big plus and then you look at who is coming in and you add a player like myself and we have a shot to do some things next season.” At Oregon Ashaolu will replace the departed senior Joevan Catron with a similar skill set. “Coach Altman says his teams are at their best when they have four shooters and a big man that can roam the middle and I feel like I can be that guy,” expressed Ashaolu. “With guys like Garrett [Sim] and Devoe [Joseph] outside and then you add a guy like Jabri Brown and Austin Kuemper, myself, and the rest of the team it was a perfect fit.’ Ashaolu says he will bring an inside presence down low for the Ducks but that he also has leadership qualities he knows will come in hand on and off the court next season. Ashaolu will enroll at Oregon next month and will be on campus in time for the program’s trip to Italy.

Well suck on that egg, Ernie. You tried your hardest to drag the storied Oregon basketball program through the mud and into the depths of Hades. And well, it sort of worked. For awhile. But no more. Rising like from the ashes like a  Phoenix the only two words that can be associated with the Mighty Ducks of Oregon are “WE‘RE BACK!”

Adding the 6-foot-7 Ashaolu who averaged 14 and 9 at La Tech last year is a big pick up. Looks like Altman has quickly put together the most athletic front court Oregon has seen in a long time.

But, you know what they say. Once a program gets too big, the NCAA always comes sniffing around in hopes of bringing you down. Could this be the pancake that broke the camels back???

When asked about his trip to Oregon and what stood out the most to him Ashaolu gave an interesting and un-expected pick.

“I actually really liked the breakfast we had one time there,” said Ashaolu. “I think we went to this place called The Original House of Pancakes and it was the best food I’ve had in a long time.”

SeattleWeekly. ​On Saturday, January 8, 2011, Venoy Overton was the starting point guard for the University of Washington basketball team. That afternoon, he played 29 minutes, scored eight points, and dished out seven assists in a lopsided 103-72 home victory for the Huskies over Oregon State. Two days later, on January 10, KIRO broadcast the news that a “prominent UW athlete”–later revealed to be Overton–was accused of raping a 16-year-old girl he’d met on Facebook. KIRO’s story, based on interviews with the girl’s family and a police report narrative filed the morning after the sexual assault allegedly occurred, suggested that the teenager was lured to an apartment, plied with alcohol, and forced to have sex with the 23-year-old Overton even though she “told him repeatedly to stop and that she just wanted to meet an athlete she admired.” But according to an exhaustive 227-page Seattle Police report obtained by Seattle Weekly, the girl was a willing participant right up until the messy ending.

Oh you know, just eating McDonalds, burning blunts, drinking Tilts, blowies and finger blasting a minor, no biggie.

“We just started talking and then we just exchanged numbers,” she said, noting that the online relationship had only been active for a week or so. “I had a feeling that he was one of those guys that would, ya know, just get at me for, ya know, sexually, but I wasn’t tryin’ to go there. I was just tryin’ to be friends and so this weekend I was gonna hang out to see like what kind of guy he was.”

Golly Gee, I’m just a sneaker-chaser trying to find out what kind of a person Venoy was.

“She was kinda dressed like a ho,” the girl’s friend said. “She [was] wearing like black pants, like these tight black skinny jeans and then like this tank top where it’s like down here. Like, you could see like everything on that girl.”

Ouch. Getting called a ho by one of your girls, that’s gotta hurt. But in her defense, I will say that skinny jeans can in no way make a chick look sexy, especially black ones. it’s just waaaay too San Fran skater, Portland hipster and Seattle depressed to look hot.

 

“I kinda was brushin’ her off cause I didn’t really, I didn’t want to hang out but she just kept calling me,” Overton told police. “Her and her friend was gonna catch the bus and then meet us at the McDonald’s across the street from the Key Arena.”

Don’t you hate it when you are forced to pick up the phone and hang out with someone. Like it’s weird that celly’s have that kind of power to actually make a person do something against their own will.

The girls said the three sailors escorted them to the Space Needle, then they parted ways and rendezvoused with Overton and his two friends at the fast-food joint. Overton recalled that the girls were drinking Tilt, a caffeinated alcoholic beverage, out of a coffee mug inside the restaurant. He claims he was unaware of the girls’ age, and that his eventual accuser “said she’ll be 18 in [a] month.” He said he asked the girls in no uncertain terms if they wanted to go back to his sister’s apartment to have sex.

“I just kept it, kept it real like blunt like ‘OK, if you come with us like what you guys want to do?’” Overton told police. “I was [like] ‘OK how about a orgy party?’ And then she like, ‘Yeah where at?’ And I was like ‘Are you serious?’”

Sailors, Tilt and McDonalds. Sounds like fun! But no where near the fun they would have later. Give Venoy some credit, the doesn’t beat around the bush. It’s like hey hoodrat, if you come with me, we’re gonna just plug you from every angle, can you hang with that?

The party of five piled into Overton’s car and headed to the apartment on East Fir Street in the Central District. They stopped at a liquor store along the way, where Overton bought a bottle of apple-flavored Smirnoff vodka. Overton’s sister wasn’t home, but he told police that he has a key to the residence and permission to come and go as he pleases. The group hung out for a while, and Overton confessed to the detective interviewing him that he and his buddies smoked “half a blunt” of Spice synthetic marijuana. The girls said they did not partake in the drugs, but took a few shots of vodka.

Venoy got his like own bang out crib? Damn, that’s sweet. Blood is thicker than water, you know.

“I’m just playing it off tryin’ to [get] . . . the conversation off of the basketball ya know,” Overton told police. “So finally uh [redacted] sees, like she sees me and then on the poster and she just like, like oh she just grabs me and [is] like ‘Come on I’ll just, come on I wanna give you head.’ Basically she just grabbed me and pulled me to the bed.’”

And I don’t know, like I felt like I didn’t know what to do if I’d got, if I like didn’t do it ya know like I don’t know like what they were gonna do if I didn’t like do what they wanted me to do. So that’s when um I started giving, ya know, him head. And then um [sigh] and then oh what happened, we were doing that and then I just know that we were doing it for a while and I had like took [it] out of my mouth and I was like ‘Now what, what am I doing I can’t be doing this.’ He’s like, he was just like encouraging it ya know, like he didn’t care.”

Of course he didn’t care, chick. He’s got apple Smirnoff, fake herb and a girl that said “said she’ll be 18 in [a] month.” Of course he didn’t care. That’s scum bag 101 right there, get with it.

Overton: [redacted] said something like ‘Uh I want to see, I wonder if you can have two dicks in your mouth at the same time.’ She’s like, ‘Let me see.’ So she grabs his penis and like [tries] to put both our dicks in her mouth at the same time . . . but she couldn’t do it.

Overton: I don’t know if she scratched him or something but . . . yeah so he backs out, everyone starts laughing.

“I was like [redacted] you finger-bang her and then he, he was like ‘Na it kinda stinks’ . . . he said that right in front of her and she was like . . . she like kinda just sat up, she sat up she like, ‘OK I’m done with that.’ So I was like, and she was like ‘OK’ and I was about to just walk out the room [but] she was like ‘I want you, I want you to jack off though,’ she’s like ‘Jack off, like I’m done giving you head but I want you to jack off.’ “

Overton’s friend told police he left the room at that point, but overheard the girl not only asking Overton to finish up in front her, but also on her. A graphic portion of Overton’s statement to the detective is summed up dryly in the Case Investigation Report with the line, “Overton claimed that [redacted] invited him to ejaculate on her chest–which he did.” The detective adds that “the medical record notes there was a white stain on the victim’s top.”

Atta kid Venoy. Give that girl something to go 2nd period home room on Monday with  to talk about!

The accuser left the apartment alone in tears. At that point, the girl’s friend revealed her true age to Overton and his friends. (Overton was not charged with statutory rape because the age of consent in Washington is 16.) Text messages exchanged between Overton and his accuser reveal that both parties were resentful of the situation:

Not to go all ‘message board moralist’ on you, but isn’t 16 a little young for ‘age of consent?’

Text Messages: From Overton at 10:03 p.m.: “Ok so ur bout to make it like a raped u and that’s not coo. U lied to me.”

From the Accuser at 10:03 p.m.: “Don’t matter. Yu did some to me I didn’t wanna do.”

From Overton 10:04 p.m.: “And what was that. U grabbed my dick from ur friend are you serious”

Nothing worse than a woman scorned.

“I just think she’s a liar,” the accuser’s friend told a detective three days after the incident. “She should know the consequences. Like, she’s ruining a guy’s life if he didn’t really do this.”

Something tells me these two are no longer friends, just a guess.

Listen, what Venoy did was not illegal, but lets call a spade a spade. The guy is a dirt bag. Not that the chick gets off free and easy here either, but come on now. If you believe for one second that Venoy actually thought the girls were as old as they were, you are more delusional that Dave Mahler (and he even thinks Venoy is a turd basket). The ‘Oh I’m almost 18 is something you say when you try and buy a pack of smokes underage and get called out on it.’

And if you don’t think Venoyance is a scum bag, let me leave you with this. On January 9th 2011, Venoy was being question by the SPD for diddling 16 years old girls that night. On January 10, 2011, Venoy’s girlfriend gave birth to their child.
