Waking Up: Ducks Win? Ducks Win!

With my apologies to the rest of the nation I’m going to recap a local High School Pac 10 hoops game last night.
Oregon 71 – UCLA 66: It was nice to finally see a team look more lost on offense than the Ducks. The fact that UCLA already has 4 wins in the Pac-10 is a major indictment on the strength of the conference. How can they be so bad? Did Howland forget to recruit the last two years? I know they have put many players in the NBA recently and most have left early, but that happens at every big time program. A normal UCLA recruiting class would wipe the floor with the near white wash they are rolling with now. It took them 25 seconds to get a play set on offense. I would feel bad for UCLA fans if they weren’t such D-bags.
As for Oregon, are they the only school in the country that uses their point guard to inbound the ball? Thought so. For as bad as they play at times you have to admire their scrappyness. Shout out to 3D’s boy Matt Humphrey. After getting caught looking into the key instead of guarding the three point line as UCLA made a ridiculous 3pt shot to send it into overtime, Humphrey made two straight 3′s in overtime to give Oregon a lead and allowed them to play from ahead. It was important to finally get some good vibes going through Mac Court again as beating UCLA, no matter how bad they are this year, is still a good win due to all their success both past and present. And both the program and Ernie Kent could use some good vibes right about now.
Other games around the league:
OSU 51 – USC 45:
/doesn’t give a shit
Arizona 76 – Standford 69: Landry Fields continued his terror through the Pac-10 with 31 points and 11 boards as Arizona held on to second place in the Pac-10. Yes this is the same Arizona team that lost by 30 to BYU earlier this year. The Pac-10 sucks.
California 78 – Arizona State 70: California is starting to play like the team everything thought they would be at the beginning of the year. Whether that is because they are playing well, or just playing Pac-10 teams now is anyone’s guess.
Washington 123 – Seattle 76: Bonus score from Tuesday. So UW beat Seattle by 47 and Seattle beat OSU by 51, does this mean we can expect a near 100 point victory from UW next time they play the Beavers? One can only hope.

[...] Ducks Take 2: Ernie Kent lives to see another week, and probably needs to win 4 of his next 10(+) to secure another season and the first in the arena that Ernie built. For more in game specifics refer back to these two awesome posts. [...]

I wanted to hate on the uniforms, but would feel like a scumbad since it’s for cancer awarness and all.
