The Oregon Ducks are in need of a new head men’s basketball coach. And from all the speculation around the program, it seems New Mexico’s head coach Steve Alford is on the short list. So, if you’re bee-bopping around finishing up your honey-do list with your green Oregon sweatshirt on … well, you might wanna take a break between 2:50-4:50.

Washington vs New Mexico
Watching this 2nd round NCAA tournament game doesn’t just give you a break from Saturday chores, but it could be providing you a preview of how the next Oregon basketball coach matches up with rival Washington. Possibly in the prime of his career, Alford could be ready to jump into an Oregon program that desires the next level of NCAA success … winning consistency. And for you Bobby Knight fans, you’d be pleased to know that Alford was Bobby’s golden boy at Indiana.

I don’t get the Alford love. He failed miserably in the big-10. If we’re going the small school route go get Brad Stevens at Butler.

You don’t get the Alford love because you can’t see past Ernie Kent’s ball sack because you are 69ing him.

Alford got out of the first round once in 8 years and ended with a 61-67 conference record, but yeah he seems like a huge upgrade

You are such a clown bbryan. You crown Ernie Kent the King because of his ability to get to the tourn and advancing, yet you dont give Alford the same credit. He went to the sweet 16 with SWMS and has turned New Mexico into the premier team in its conference. Granted Alford is not my top choice, he is far better than Kent.
Ben Jacobson is my top Choice.

Caps on the word ‘choice’ at the end of a sentence?

Tourn? Were you going for a Great Britain version of the word turn? I don’t understand (did you notice the apostrophe in ‘don’t'?)

We are not the premier team in the conference. We have one outright title and one conference tournament title in the last 11 years. We are not even close to the premier team. You must be mis-remembering our accomplishments.
