Does Mike Dunlap get the job dropped in his lap?
Is Belotti gonna sit on his hands and wait for Mark Few and the Bulldogs to finish their NCAA tournament run?
What is the Belotti plan?
Besides Few and Dunlap … who else will want to jump into this Eugene basketball seat and take it to the next level?
EUGENE, Ore. — Sources have confirmed to KVAL Sports that University of Oregon’s head basketball coach, Ernie Kent, has already been fired.
According to the source, Kent’s dismissal takes effect after the basketball team has finished its season, whenever that may be.
The source also told KVAL Sports that Kent was dismissed after meeting with Oregon Athletic Director Mike Bellotti the Monday following the Ducks home losses to California and Stanford. In addition, Kent’s entire staff will be replaced, with the possible exception of assistant Kenny Payne.

Those numbers really show that Ernie didn’t have that many good years. Without seeing those records I thought of him as a fairly good coach (when it comes to winning). I look at that and see, not very many good years considering its a pac 10 school.
By the way I’m not a huge Ernie hater but I kinda feel like anyone who coaches at that level for 13 years should win at least that many games.
