Where’s My Lakers vs Blazers Post?
Posted on 11. Feb, 2010 at 9:09 pm by bbryan in Los Angeles Lakers, NBA Basketball, Portland Trail Blazers
You know you’ve made the big time when you have people tripping over themselves to do your work for you. This is the 3,000th rd person to come and beg ask us to do our work for the epicness of being associated with this great site. So let me introduce two time Survivor Champion PKD.
No Kobe? So what
Well I have been waiting patiently since last Sunday morning for all you so called blazer fans to post something [ed note: he's talking to you Ski] about your beloved team. What only when they win? I guess I’m not surprised with the Super Bowl and all the trappings going on, but tick tock. So I will take the bull by the horns and get started here.
The defending NBA Champion Lakers are going through the motions of regular season basketball until the playoffs start. They did take time out to remind the upstart blazers that they are still King of the Hill. Admittedly the blazers are not the same team without Brandon Roy, but then again neither are the Lakers without Kobe. It was refreshing to see the team step up with 6 players in double figures and Lamar with 20+ rebounds. We almost got to see the Morrison man at the end, maybe next time. See you in LA in April.
Since this game the Lakers have been playing like a well oiled machine. My suggestion to Phil will be to shut KB down for a month or so and heal up for the playoffs. Having grown up listening to the late great Chick Hearn I can say without a doubt that Mike Rice is a narrow minded moron, it’s a good thing there is a mute button on my remote. Rice needs to realize that not all of the blazer opponents are cheaters and that sometimes the blazers just plain suck. One of the great things about Chickie Baby was that when the Lakers were not playing well he would be the first one to let us know, and that every once and a while the mustard does fall off the hot dog.

Heres my take on it. The blazers played like shit. Pau is by far the best player on the court. Artest actually made some shots. Lamar is a freak. And with no Kobe and no Roy the game was meaningless and boring to watch. Plus I only caught about half the game.

This just in: All home town announcers are homers, including Chick Hearn. Hell, it’s kind of their job. Vin Scully is probably the only non-homer ever, and it’s mainly because he hasn’t had any idea where he was and is more interested in talking about players off season fishing expeditions, for the last 20 years.
PS, Laker fans suck.

Plus I don’t cater to the demands of Laker fans. For all I care we could round all of you up, including the Yankee and Cowboy fans and ship you off to an island. Oh and throw in Notre Dame fan. They’re by far worst because they haven’t been good for ever yet they will throw the past in your face to explain why they’re still good.

Almost got to see Morrison? Hilarious! Too bad he can’t back up his sobbing on the court like R FED.
Scully needs a mute button more than any announcer. Ever. Including Dicky V. And Niehaus.

I think if you check your TWIB notes prepared by the late Mel Allen it states that Vin Scully is still the voice of ML Baseball. Even though he’s getting old he’s still the best bar none, and remarkably my remote is unable to mute when Vinny is calling Dodger baseball. Weird huh

this dudes gotta check the site out a little better. just about every post on the blazers is about how bad they are struggling right now.
the lakers are obviously better than the blaze so i’m not sure why you’re picking a fight with them. all i gotta say to any laker fan out there is good luck taking down the cavs. Lebron has clearly passed Kobe as the best player in the league (and ever) and he will win his first of many titles this year.
