Steve Nash for MVP

Steve Nash for MVP

Obviously Lebron James is going to win the MVP once again this year, and probably a whole bunch more in years to come. I would argue that Steve Nash should win it for the 3rd time this season. The Suns have gone completely under the radar for the entire season and so has Nash. Nobody picked the Suns to do anything and here they are battling for the 3 seed in the west on the last day of the season. Nash is going to finish with his 3rd straight season of 90% FT, 50% FG, and 40% 3pt. Really its his 5th straight but in 07 he shot only 89.9% from the line. Take a look around the league and you’ll realize that these numbers really are unheard of.

I know the guy plays absolutely no defense at all but if you consider that he’s won the award twice already I really don’t see why he can’t be considered for it again this year. The Suns don’t have nearly the team that they did in those 2 previous MVP years and yet his numbers are nearly identicle. The guy is old, and slow, and short, and the NBA’s Most Valuable Player!

I think LeBrons year this year is disgusting and he deserves it, but Nash should be in the conversation. Bryan he deserved both MVPs he has. He’s the best player at the most important position. He averages almost 20 a game and he doesn’t take half the amount of shots he should, because he’s looking to pass. Nash is the man

i won’t get into if he deserved them or not but the fact that has got the 2 previously is why i think he should win it again this year.

You are tuned into the wrong channel Ski, this is the NBA not college basketball. PG is no where near the most important position. You have to have a solid one, but having an elite one is not necessary. Stockton, Nash, Payton (he didn’t earn his), Kidd, Jackson would have rings if PG was that important. There is a reason Duncan, Shaq, Jabbar, Hakeem, Russell, Chamberlain all have multiple rings. Hell even Walton got one the one year he was good.

Hakeem got his rings because MJ was chasing around baseballs.

Why won’t people consider Nash for the MVP? If the word sportsmanship means anything in NBA than Nash is among the one who is at the top. People dont look at his game’s instinct and intelligence. And I feel angry ’bout the people who think Point Guard’s not an impotant position. Steve is a tough cookie. Deserved the two MVPs and others which he did not get. He wont ask for one you should give it to him.

Hakeem did get them because Jordan wasn’t playing but he is no doubt one of the best players (bigs) of all time. He destroyed Shaq with the sick nasty dream shake.
