Mikhail Prokhorov Thinking Of Changing The Name Of The Nets

Everyone knew things were going to change for the New Jersey Nets when Russian billionaire Mikhail Prokhorov bought the team, but I didn’t think this was so high up on things that needed to get done now.
Here’s what Prokhorov has to say to a bunch of reporters:
“Let me ask you some questions,” Prokhorov said to a small group of reporters during a private brunch meeting at the Four Seasons Hotel in Manhattan. “What about the name of the team? Is it okay, the Nets? Or do we have to try to find something new?
“I’m a foreigner, you know,” he said. “I need your piece of advice. I can put Russian name and nobody knows what it is. I can put the name of a girlfriend and every time I change, I need to change the name of the team.”
Is Mikhail Prokhorov not the coolest human being on the planet. I mean he comes to America having made a trillion dollars in Russia of all places and straight up buys an NBA team, and whats the first thing he wants to do before they have even played a game under his ownership, change the name of the team. The Nets have been around since 1977, but Mikhail just doesn’t give a shit. Hell who needs tradition when I can just change the name of the team to whatever hot piece off ass I’m banging, which by the way would be the best thing to ever happen to the NBA. Since doing that will never happen I thought we should be gracious ambassadors and help Prok out with the naming of his team when they relocate to Brooklyn.
